Greater risk of fines across Europe

 - EUROMOVERS

Controls across Europe are becoming more rigorous to ensure compliance with the requirement to have G2V2 updated tachographs in vehicles engaged in international transport. Countries such as Spain and Germany, among others, are imposing significant penalties on hauliers who fail to comply with these regulations.

Recently, Guretruck, the road transport services company based in Irun, Spain, became aware of a €6,000 fine imposed in Germany on a haulier for not having an upgraded tachograph. Additionally, in Spain, a fine of €2,001 has been recorded for a similar offence, although legislation stipulates that penalties can range from €2,001 to €4,000, depending on the severity of the offence.

Guretruck provides a range of services to hauliers should they require information or legal assistance or if they have already received a fine.
