The EU has taken its first steps to regulate AI with the introduction of a Code of Practice ahead of a full AI Act. This makes the EU one of the first regions in the world to set clear rules for how AI systems work. The full AI Act is not expected before 2026, but the Code of Practice is intended to help companies work towards the new standards.
